Akshara Healthcare Technologies is a healthcare technology company based in Lucknow, India. We build and operate practical software for hospitals, clinics and diagnostic organizations.
Akshara was created around a simple observation: healthcare organizations are often asked to change the way they work to suit their software. Rigid systems lead to workarounds, duplicate records and frustrated teams.
We take the opposite approach. We start with how an organization actually works — its departments, its people, its infrastructure — and build technology that fits. Organizations can begin with a specific problem, solve it well, and expand from there.
We see ourselves as a long-term technology partner rather than a software vendor. That means staying involved after go-live: maintaining, improving and adapting systems as each organization grows.

Where we are today
- We work with healthcare organizations in India, starting with hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centres and imaging centres.
- Our current focus is on two areas: hospital information systems and DICOM / medical imaging technology.
- We are building our products with interoperability, flexible deployment and integration in mind, so they can serve healthcare organizations beyond India as we grow.
